Alsey Combs

Alsey was born in 1823 in Perry Co., Kentucky.¹   Alsey's father is Clinton Combs and her mother is Elizabeth Combs.  Her paternal grandparents are Mason Combs and Jenny Richardson; her maternal grandparents are Shadrack Combs and Martha Casebolt. She has six brothers and five sisters, named Hiram, Clinton D., Nelson, Hugh, Adrian Edward, John, Martha, Sidad, Emilina, Susan and Elizabeth.  She is the second oldest of the twelve children. She has nine half-brothers and three half-sisters, named George, Jackson, William, Sampson B., Raney, David Yancy, Richmond, James Patrick, Cooley, Jane, Liza and Ida.
