Lavinia Cherry

Lavinia was born in 1827 in MACOUPIN, ILL.¹ Lavinia's father was John Cherry and her mother was Ann E Rice. Her paternal grandparents were William Cherry and Lottie Hopkins. She had four brothers and five sisters, named John W, Thomas C, John Berry, James, Mary, Sarah, Martha N, Jemima and Elizabeth. She was the fourth oldest of the ten children.¹
