Ruth May Carlton 
Ruth May was born on May 11th, 1895 in Texas.1 Ruth May's father is John Henry Carlton and her mother was Sarah Elizabeth Hillyard. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Hillyard and Christian Elizabeth Graham. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named William Henry, John, Martin VanBuren, James Carrol, George Winfield, Robert Guinn, Earl Raymond, Etta Green, Saletta Elizabeth and Grace Cornelius. She was the third youngest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 82 in 1977 in Oklahoma. She was buried in Roosevelt Cemetery, Kiowa Co., Oklahoma.1 1 General Notes
