Gussie Burton

Gussie was born on August 14th, 1894.¹ Gussie's father was Isaac Green Burton and her mother is Joe Annie Giles. Her maternal grandparents were Joseph Milton Giles and Margaret Clementine McCowen. She had nine brothers and three sisters, named Joseph Milton, Roy, Willie, Rosco, Leonard, Wallace Gates, Bishop, Paul, Robert, Lula Eldora, Glady and Jaunita. She is the oldest of the thirteen children.
