Gideon was born on June 29th, 1796 in Warren Co., Tennessee.1 Gideon's father was Noble Bouldin and his mother was Temperance Unknown. His paternal grandfather was William,4th Bouldin and his paternal grandmother is Rebecca Unknown. He had four brothers named Louis, Nathan, Reuben and Elinder.
