Eli Shelby Bouldin 
Eli Shelby was born on June 20th, 1835 in Madison Co., Alabama.1 Eli Shelby's father was William Graves, Capt. Bouldin and his mother was Elizabeth Purnell Hammond. His paternal grandparents were Green, Captain Bouldin and Mary Graves; his maternal grandparents were Eli Hammond and Mary Owen. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Hammond, Green, Mary Purnell Tabitha, Elizabeth G., Susan Eleanor, Catherine C., Margaret J., Sally M. and Betty P. H.. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 73 in 1908.1 General Notes
