Her maternal grandparents were Alfred Warren and Melvina K. Elkins. She had two brothers and a sister, named Creed Hasloms, Howard Newman and Maud. She died at the age of 90 on January 21st, 1978 in Greensburg, Green Co., Kentucky. She was buried in Otter Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, LaRue Co., Kentucky.1 1 General Notes
