Martha Elizabeth Bassham 
Martha Elizabeth was born on October 17th, 1846 in Lawrence Co., Tennessee.1 Martha Elizabeth's father was James Monroe, Jr. Bassham and her mother was Tempa Malinda Bassham. Her paternal grandparents were James Monroe Bassham and Arta M. Holloway; her maternal grandparents were Richard Basham and Pheebee Pinnicuff. She had three brothers named Hiram C., Levi Johnson and James Richard. She was the second oldest of the four children. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Rufus Lycurgus, Aramantha, Felix Edward, Warren Poindexter and Berah Celesta (Bessie). She died after 1870.1 General Notes
