George Washington Bassham 
George Washington was born about 1890 in Texas.1 George Washington's father was Leroy F. Basham and his mother was Maria Josephine Roberts. His paternal grandparents were William F. Bassham and Dianah B. Hall. He had two brothers and a sister, named Willie Lane, Walter Lee and Elizabeth Annie. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Ada L., Ider and Susan (Susie). He died about 1965.1 General Notes
