Cynthia (Frances) was born about 1849 in Lawrence Co., Tennessee.1 Cynthia (Frances)'s father was William D. Bassham and her mother was Nancy Ann (Eunice) Hinsely. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Basham and Pheebee Pinnicuff. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Russell Lyourfus, Jasper N. (Inspirit?), Solomon J. (Bud), William J., John S., V. E., Mary E., Phebe J. and Matilda Amanda. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children. She had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named J. Richard, Thomas Avery, L. J., Nancy E. (Or Doris E), Sarah M. and S. E.. She died after 1868.1 General Notes
