Anna Gertrude (Gerty) Bassham 
Anna Gertrude (Gerty) was born on February 21st, 1887 in Arkansas.1 Anna Gertrude (Gerty)'s father was William Pleasant Bassham and her mother was Kittura B (Kitty) Matlock. Her paternal grandparents were John M. Basham and Louisa Caroline Riles; her maternal grandfather is William Armstrong Matlock. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Toy Egbert, Calvin Martin, Steve Pleasant, Henry Jimmy, Cornelia M (Nettie), Jetty Lee, Roxa Raymul and Lida Jane. She was the third oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 93 on February 1st, 1981 in Ft Smith, Sebastian Co., Arkansas.1 General Notes
