William Pleasant Basham 
William Pleasant was born on September 2nd, 1879 in Weaverville, Trinity Co., Calif.1 William Pleasant's father was Greene Berry Basham and his mother was Eliza Ann Conway. His paternal grandparents were Pleasant (Rev) Basham and Matilda Miller. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Francis Alvia (Frank), Son (Twin), Elbert H (Bert), Ellis, Anna H. (Annie), Gertrude (Nana), Alice E., Florence L., Ida E and Edna. He was the third youngest of the eleven children.
