William Hubert Basham 
William Hubert was born on June 29th, 1896 in Floyd Co., Virginia.1 William Hubert's father was John Ellis Basham and his mother was Ellen Richards. His paternal grandparents were Hillory H. Basham and Sarah Ridinger; his maternal grandparents are John Richards and Martha Harris. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named Nathan H., Brainard Hayden, George Kyle, Archie Leonard, Robert Letcher, John Taswell, Doc Roscoe (Peach), Harless, Carrrie, Leona Belle, Florence Elyna, Laura and Allie S..
