William Claud Basham 
William Claud was born about June 1899 in Kentucky.1 William Claud's father was Obediah Mitchell (Obie) Basham and his mother is Ellen O. J. Gentry. His paternal grandparents were Benajah Anderson Basham and Nancy E. Turner. He has four sisters named Polly, Lula, Verda and Uphoma. He is the youngest of the five children. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Christopher C., Johnny W., Reuben A., Anna Pearl, Minnie and Elenor M..General Notes
