Virgie Basham 
Virgie was born on March 16th, 1902 in Matoaka, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1 Virgie's father was Anderson Basham and her mother was Naomi Frances Crews. Her paternal grandparents were John Henry Basham and Martha Goodall. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Earnest, Bruce, Zina, Arley Lewis, Alvie, Demy, Vertie and Lena. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Willard Lee, Rosa B., Eliza A. and Cora B.. She died about 1945.1 General Notes
