Thelma Irene was born on January 21st, 1921 in Dott, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1 Thelma Irene's father was Arley Lewis Basham and her mother was Leola Maude Shrewsbury. Her paternal grandparents were Anderson Basham and Naomi Frances Crews; her maternal grandparents are George Washington, Jr. Shrewsbury and Lucinda Meadows. She had a brother and three sisters, named Calvin, Naomi Pauline, Living and Living. She died at the age of 78 on June 22nd, 1999 in Richmond, Henrico Co., VA. er, own ing his own business on Main Street in Salem, Roanoke Co., VA. Ja
ck had b eautiful red hair. He died from prostate cancer. Irene and Ja
