Sara Ann Basham 
Sara Ann was born on April 21st, 1874 in McDowell Co., West Virginia.1 Sara Ann's father was James Preston Basham and her mother was Mary Eliz (Jennie) Hornsby. Her paternal grandparents were William Blane Basham and Mary Elizabeth Peters; her maternal grandparents are John Hornsby and Celica Hopkins. She had three brothers and four sisters, named John Walden, James Edward, Andrew Woodson, Julina Lillie, Celica Virginia (Jennie), Ada Belle and Nell Eva. She was the oldest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William Kinley and Grace Bryan. She died about August 1953 in West Virginia.1 General Notes
