Russell Lee was born on October 14th, 1915 in Terra Haute, Vigo Co., Indiana.1 Russell Lee's father was Eugene C (Gene) Basham and his mother was Chloe Peyton. His paternal grandparents were Jeremiah Henderson Basham and Sarah Ellen Higgs. He had a brother and a sister, named Rudolph Peyton and Living. He died at the age of 32 on January 22nd, 1948 in Newburgh, Warrick Co., Indiana.1 General Notes
