Ruby Pearl Basham 
Ruby Pearl was born on August 31st, 1914 in Wickham, Raleigh Co., W Virginia.1 Ruby Pearl's father was Robert Hugh Basham and her mother was Sarah Malinda Hatcher. Her paternal grandparents were William Blane Basham and Juliana Lydia Lilly; her maternal grandparents were John Edmund Charles Lewis Hatcher and Eliza Lilly. She had nine brothers and five sisters, named Gracie May, Gilbert Ezra, Charles William, George Wesley (Twin), James Herford (Twin), Michael Fenton, Joseph Dale, Luther Bee, Sarah Marie, Bertha Lee, Clara Bell, Nellie Rose, Elizabeth Lillian and Edith Garnet. She was the second youngest of the fifteen children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Roy Lesley and Ada Ethyl. She died at the age of 81 on November 29th, 1995 in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin Co., Virginia.1 General Notes
