Robert Basham 
Robert was born about 1811 in Bedford Co., Virginia.1 Robert's father was Nathaniel Basham and his mother was Elender (Ellen) Ross. His paternal grandparents were Archibald Basham and Winna Jons; his maternal grandparents are John Ross and Elenor Mitchell. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John Floyd, Sylvester, Benjamin, Hillory H., Ellis L., Cena, Eleanor and Mary E.. He was the oldest of the nine children.
