Raymond Thomas was born on April 22nd, 1920 in Afton, Dickens Co., Texas.1 Raymond Thomas' father was Lois Vandel Basham and his mother was Beulah C. Cargile. His paternal grandparents were Eli Williamson Basham and Frances Alice Freeman. He had a brother and two sisters, named L. V., Jr., Beulah Inez and Mildred Elnora. He was the youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 9 on May 14th, 1929 in Spur, Dickens Co., Texas.1 General Notes
