Pearl Basham 
Pearl was born on December 14th, 1886 in Hancock Co., Kentucky.1 Pearl's father was Jeremiah Henderson Basham and her mother was Sarah Ellen Higgs. Her paternal grandparents were Cary Jackson 'Jack' Basham and Annis Warner; her maternal grandparents were Alfred Higgs and Sarah Jane Calloway. She had eleven brothers and five sisters, named Finous, Harvey, Hilous, Benjamin Harrison (Ben), Eugene C (Gene), Eulace, Edward Otis, Ruthford, Flora, Chester, Harold, Bertha S., Carrie, Essie, Anna Lee and Clara Louise. She was the fifth oldest of the seventeen children. She had a half-sister named Mary Jane. She died at the age of 32 on December 25th, 1918 in Hancock Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
