Obediah was born about 1831 in Kentucky.1 Obediah's father was Micajah Basham and his mother was Lucy PRATHER. His paternal grandparents were Obediah Basham and Celia Dowell. He had a sister named Frances Ann (Winna). He was the younger of the two children. He died after 1860.1 General Notes
