Naomi Pauline was born on May 1st, 1919 in Matoaka, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1 Naomi Pauline's father was Arley Lewis Basham and her mother was Leola Maude Shrewsbury. Her paternal grandparents were Anderson Basham and Naomi Frances Crews; her maternal grandparents are George Washington, Jr. Shrewsbury and Lucinda Meadows. She had a brother and three sisters, named Calvin, Thelma Irene, Living and Living. She died at the age of 83 on August 10th, 2002 in Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.
