Michael Fenton Basham 
Michael Fenton was born on January 2nd, 1908 in Flattop, Mercer Co., W Virginia.1 Michael Fenton's father was Robert Hugh Basham and his mother was Sarah Malinda Hatcher. His paternal grandparents were William Blane Basham and Juliana Lydia Lilly; his maternal grandparents were John Edmund Charles Lewis Hatcher and Eliza Lilly. He had eight brothers and six sisters, named Gracie May, Gilbert Ezra, Charles William, George Wesley (Twin), James Herford (Twin), Joseph Dale, Luther Bee, Sarah Marie, Bertha Lee, Clara Bell, Nellie Rose, Elizabeth Lillian, Ruby Pearl and Edith Garnet. He was the sixth youngest of the fifteen children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Roy Lesley and Ada Ethyl. He died at the age of 85 on June 9th, 1993 in Ocala, Marion Co., Florida.1 General Notes
