1 Mary Polly's father was Bartlett Basham and her mother was Rachel Mayberry. Her paternal grandparents were Obediah Basham and Celia Dowell; her maternal grandparents are Reubin Turner and Elizabeth Likens. She had ten brothers and six sisters, named George Dowell, James Herrod, James Herod, Obadiah, Elijah, Benajah Anderson, Allen, George, Elijah, Obediah, Margaret, Barbara E., Polly, Margaret, Rachel and Savanna.
