Mary Lou 'Visa' was born on February 2nd, 1876 in Arkansas.1 Mary Lou 'Visa''s father was Joseph P. Basham and her mother was Mary Jane Morris. Her paternal grandparents were Jonathan Basham and Delilah Payne. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named Joseph Lawrence, Thomas Lane, James 'Alvin', Jesse Isaac, C. B., Marian Clinton, Frederick Fenton, Sarah Delilah, Nannie Bell, Martha Adela, Alice Clementine (Tiny) and Ruth Amazon. She was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children. She had five half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Henry Jonathan, William O. (Rev), James, John, Samuel, Elizabeth Ellen, Abigail Suretha, Katie, Donana A. (Donnie) and Minnie L.. She died at the age of 80 on March 29th, 1956 in Wichita Co., Texas.1 General Notes
