Mary B. Basham 
Mary B. was born on May 2nd, 1835 in Clifton Mill, Breckenridge Co., Ky.1 Mary B.'s father was Allen Dowell Basham and her mother was Malinda DALTON. Her paternal grandparents were Obediah Basham and Celia Dowell. She had eight brothers and a sister, named William Francis, Micajah, Daniel James, Henry Dalton, Allen Dowell II, Luther D. (Seth), Robert Houston, Samuel Logan and Paulina Ellen. She was the third oldest of the ten children. She had four half-brothers named George Washington, Joseph Dempsey, Thomas McClellan (Tom) and Barksdale P.. She died at the age of 74 on March 5th, 1910.1 General Notes
