Martha Ann (Mattie) Basham 
Martha Ann (Mattie) was born on February 11th, 1850 in Union Star, Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.1 Martha Ann (Mattie)'s father was Henry Dowell Basham and her mother was Cassandra Hardin. Her paternal grandparents were Obediah Basham and Celia Dowell; her maternal grandparents were Daniel Hardin and Alice (Alsey) Jolly. She had eight brothers and four sisters, named Thomas Washington, Francis Logan, Daniel Hardin, James Allen, Henry Nelson, Obediah Peyton, Joel Hardin, Madison, Alice Jolly, Celia Dowell, Mary and Louisa Ellen. She was the fourth youngest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 83 on March 24th, 1933 in Leitchfield, Grason Co., Kentucky.1 -
