Marshall James Basham 
Marshall James was born on February 23rd, 1886 in Woodbury, Cannon Co., Tennessee.1 Marshall James' father was James H. (Big Jimmy) Basham and his mother was Bettie Wilson. His paternal grandparents were James M. Basham and Mary Ann Stafford. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Rilla, James (Little Jimmy), Gracie A., Ollie, Ethel, Bertha, Mary Maggie and Mary. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 92 on January 1st, 1979 in McMinnville, Warren Co., Tennessee.1 General Notes
