Margaret T. "Maggie" was born on February 8th, 1879 in Kentucky.1 Margaret T. "Maggie"'s father was Hartwell Belvy Basham and her mother was Mary Catherine "Katie" Crume. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Blades Basham and Sarah Jane Brock; her maternal grandparents are John D. Crume and Julia Nottingham. She had six brothers and four sisters, named John V., Arthur Hartford, Jessie Lee, Erva D., Lawrence Leslie, Herman R., Lillie Day, Vera C., Myrtle and Leavy.
