Lois Vandel was born on June 29th, 1895 in Eastland Co., Texas.1 Lois Vandel's father was Eli Williamson Basham and his mother was Frances Alice Freeman. His paternal grandparents were William Riley Basham and Rachel Evethe Williamson. He had a brother and four sisters, named William Homer, Ethel, Mollie Bea, Vera Nevada and Nida Jean.
