Lewis Allen Basham 
Lewis Allen was born on February 26th, 1858 in Mercer Co., West Virginia.1 Lewis Allen's father was Joseph A. Basham and his mother was Mary (Polly) A. Dillion. His paternal grandparents were John Basham and Catherine Ball; his maternal grandparents are Acquilla Green Dillon and Lucinda Spradlin. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Rufus H., William T., Martha Ann, Emma, Arthur D., Albert Jasper, Rebecca K. and Ellen T.. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 79 on August 27th, 1937 in Mercer Co., West Virginia.1 General Notes
