Jonathan Basham 
Jonathan was born about 1815 in Virginia.1 Jonathan's father was John, Jr. Basham and his mother was Frances (Franky) Meadors. His paternal grandparents were John, Sr. Basham and Francis Susanna Unknown; his maternal grandparents were Jessee Meador and Lucy (Nancy?) Hix. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Elijah, Warner, Nathan, Millender, John, Whorley, Margaret, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Mildred Susan and Matilda. He was the sixth youngest of the twelve children. He died about 1891.1 General Notes
