John William Basham 
John William was born on February 10th, 1856 in Tennessee.1 John William's father was John Bassham and his mother was Elizabeth Roper. His paternal grandparents were John Basham and Elizabeth Finley. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Joseph E., Thomas G. W., Malissa Jane, Eliza Ellen Eveline and Josephine Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 80 on February 1st, 1937 in San Jose, Santa Clara Co., Calif.1 General Notes
