John W. (Frank) Basham 
John W. (Frank) was born on December 16th, 1853 in Porter, Scioto Co., Ohio.1 John W. (Frank)'s father was John Basham and his mother was Mary (Polly) Moore. His paternal grandparents were John Basham and Mary (Polly) Martin. He had three brothers and three sisters, named George, Thomas Jefferson, William J., Nancy, Mary Ellen and Virginia F.. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died after 1883.1 General Notes

John F. Basham, farmer, was born Dec 16, 1853, in Porter Township, Sc
io to Co., Ohio. He was educated in his native county, and was engag
ed in far ming on his father's farm. Sept 6, 1880, he went out to Montan
a, whe re he remained till August, 1882. On his return home he remain
ed at Loghma n, Mich., for a short time, engaged in scaling or measuring t
imber. Sept 2 7, 1882, he was married in the Second Presbyterian Chur
ch of Portsmout h, by Rev. H. A. Ketchim, to Lolie L. Taylor, born in Lew
is County, Ky., M ay 14, 1862. After his marriage he returned to Michiga
n, but February, 188 3, he returned to Ohio, and is now working on his fat
her's farm on secti on 12, Porter Township. Mr. and Mrs. Basham are membe
