John W. Basham 
John W. was born on February 5th, 1877 in Alabama.1 John W.'s father was Joseph C. Bassham and his mother was Mary J. Shelton. His paternal grandparents were Levi Sampson Bassham and Sarah Smith. He had two brothers and a sister, named James Levithian, Brian Smith and Anne Myrtle. He was the second oldest of the four children.
