James 'Webster' was born on September 29th, 1904 in Eastland, Eastland Co., Texas.1 James 'Webster''s father was James Henry Basham and his mother was Mary Jane Veal. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Jefferson, Sr. Basham and Sarah Frances Renfro. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Jess (Twin), Dill Bryan, Roy Sanford, Delbert, Ernest 'Fay', Rosie Lee, Bessie (Twin), Sallie Isabell (Sarah), Jesse Ann and Ruth B..
