James R. Basham 
James R. was born on May 1st, 1883 in Missouri.1 James R.'s father was Clayton 'Perry' Basham and his mother was Parthena Campbell. His paternal grandparents were Edward Basham and Mahala Jones; his maternal grandfather was Morris Campbell and his maternal grandmother is Frances Stockton. He had four brothers and two sisters, named William Sanford, Frederic L., Ernest, John E., Gerthie and Francy. He was the third oldest of the seven children.
