James IVan Chester Basham 
James IVan Chester was born on February 28th, 1912 in Syracuse, Hamilton Co., Kansas.1 James IVan Chester's father was David Singleton Basham and his mother was Fannie Mae Ellis. His paternal grandparents were Godfrey Taylor Basham and Hannah P. Henry. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William Bolivar, George Lee, Smiley Atwood, Lillian Virgil, Fannie Mable and Dean Alverdia. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 79 on September 23rd, 1991 in Kirbyville, Taney Co., Missouri.1 General Notes
