His paternal grandparents were Obediah Basham and Celia Dowell; his maternal grandparents are Jeremiah Norton and Abigail Unknown. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Obediah, Jeremiah (Felix), Allen Kellogg (Kell), Henry Washington, Godfrey Taylor, Robert H. (Doc), Susan, Abigail, Celia, Sarah, Theodesia M 'Docia' and Rosena Ann. He was the third youngest of the thirteen children. He died after 1910.1 General Notes
