Isaac Edmond Basham 
Isaac Edmond was born on May 23rd, 1869 in Basin, Wyoming Co., West Virginia.1 Isaac Edmond's father was William Blane Basham and his mother was Juliana Lydia Lilly. His paternal grandparents were James Eber Wiley and Rhoda Basham; his maternal grandparents were Joseph L. Lilly and Mary Polly Solesberry Shrewberry. He had six brothers and five sisters, named John Albert, Henry Johnson, William Joseph, Robert Hugh, Sylvanus Eanon, Arden Lewis, Arminta Codine, Margaret Lucinda, Rosa Belle, Virginia Alifare and Louanna. He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named James Preston, Julia Ann, Nancy Jane and Louisa E. (Lizzie). He died at the age of 42 on January 23rd, 1912 in Streeter, Summers Co., W Virginia. He was buried in Basham Cem., Panther's knob, west Virginia.1 1 General Notes

Isaac Edmond Basham was born May 23, 1869, a son of William B. and Ju
li na (Lilly) Basham. Isaac was married twice. He was first married Apr
il 2 6, 1893, to Malinda Elizabeth Harvey. She was born July 19, 1871, ne
ar St reet, West Virginia. She was a daughter of J. Calvin and Mary E. (H
arve y) Harvey. They settled on a farm which included Panther Knob on Elli
son R idge, Summers County, West Virginia.
He was a prosperous farmer and owned one of the best farms on Ellison R
id ge. He was a fine father and husband, and one of the substantial citi
ze ns of that community. He was honest, reliable, and faithful to his fri
en ds and neighbors. His wife, Malinda Elizabeth (Harvey) Basham, depart
ed th is life June, 1908. He was a devoted wife and mother, a true frie
nd and s ympathetic neighbor.
Isaac E. Basham remarried October, 1909, taking as his second bride t
he f ormer Sallie M. Farley. They became the parents of twin daughters Do
