Hayden Anderson was born on October 16th, 1858 in Clifton Mill, Breckenridge Co., Ky.1 Hayden Anderson's father was William Francis Basham and his mother was Elizabeth West. His paternal grandparents were Allen Dowell Basham and Malinda DALTON. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Thomas J., James 'Clinton', Alsie M., Malinda Jane, Infant Female, Cornelia Ann and W. B. (Female). He was the third oldest of the eight children.
