Finous Basham 
Finous was born on January 16th, 1881 in Daviess Co., Kentucky.1 Finous' father was Jeremiah Henderson Basham and his mother was Sarah Ellen Higgs. His paternal grandparents were Cary Jackson 'Jack' Basham and Annis Warner; his maternal grandparents were Alfred Higgs and Sarah Jane Calloway. He had ten brothers and six sisters, named Harvey, Hilous, Benjamin Harrison (Ben), Eugene C (Gene), Eulace, Edward Otis, Ruthford, Flora, Chester, Harold, Bertha S., Pearl, Carrie, Essie, Anna Lee and Clara Louise. He was the second oldest of the seventeen children. He had a half-sister named Mary Jane. He died at the age of 61 on July 3rd, 1942 in Evansville, Vanderburgh Co., Ind.1 General Notes
