Ellis Leland was born on August 15th, 1913 in Cowgill, Caldwell Co., Missouri.1 Ellis Leland's father was Henry Clark Basham and his mother was Della Frances Clevenger. His paternal grandparents were Franklin Pierce Basham and Frances Octavia Griffey. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Roy Carl, Ralph Randal, Thomas Woodrow, Living, Eunice Pauline, Alma Reva, Living and Living. He died at the age of 55 on August 30th, 1968 in Cameron, Clinton Co., Missouri.1 General Notes
