Ellen Basham 
Ellen was born about 1842 in Floyd Co., Virginia.1 Ellen's father was John Floyd Basham and her mother was Margaret Basham. Her paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Basham and Elender (Ellen) Ross; her maternal grandparents were John, Jr. Basham and Frances (Franky) Meadors. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Nathan, James W., John Robert, George T., Martha A. and Elizabeth Frances. She was the fourth oldest of the seven children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Fleming T., Sarah C. and Annie M.. She died on February 27th, 1925 in Camp Creek, Montgomery Co., Va.1 General Notes
