Eliza A. was born on June 8th, 1896 in Leoti, Wichita Co., Kansas.1 Eliza A.'s father was Cyrus W. Basham and her mother was Martha Jane (Jennie) Morgan. Her paternal grandparents were Allen Kellogg (Kell) Basham and Eliza Jane Dowell; her maternal grandfather is James Morgan. She had two brothers and two sisters, named McKinley, R. M., Nancy Idle and Helen M.. She died at the age of 98 on August 12th, 1994 in Leoti, Wichita Co., Kansas.1 General Notes

n, 9 8, a lifetime resident of Wichita County, passed away on August 1
2, 19 94 at Golden Acres Nursing Home, Leoti. She was born on June 8, 189
6, at L eoti, the daughter of Cyrus and Jennie Morgan Basham. On July 3
0, 1917, s he married F. W. Atkinson at Cheyenne Wells, Colorado. He di
ed on August 2 9, 1959. Mrs. Atkinson was a teacher. She was a member of F
irst Presbyteri an Church, Leoti, Kansas National Education Association, T
opeka, and the A tkinson Senior Citizens Center, Rebekah Lodge and the Vet
erans of Forei gn Wars Auxiliary, all at Leoti. Survivors are a sister, He
len Heath, Tru th or Consequences, N. M., a niece and nephew. Funeral serv
ices were at 10 :30 A.M. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Leoti, wi
th Rev. Jeff Wils on officiating. Burial was in the Long Cemetery. Memoria
ls are to the chur ch, the Atkinson Senior Citizens Center, or the Gold
en Acres Nursing Hom e, all in care of the funeral home. Price and Sons Fu
