David M. was born on May 15th, 1924 in Independence, Jackson Co., Missouri.1 David M.'s father was Charles Courtney Basham and his mother was Lillian Jane (Lilly) Stumpff. His paternal grandparents were Lewis David Basham and Sarah F. Moberly. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Paul, Living, Ethel Irene and Living.
