David Allen Basham 
David Allen was born on December 23rd, 1853 in Mercer Co., Virginia.1 David Allen's father was Meador Basham and his mother was Polly (Mary) Hans. His paternal grandparents were William Loyd Basham and Ama Meador. He had six brothers and two sisters, named John Henry, Anderson, Alexander William, James H., George R, Henry C, Rhoda Jane and Eliza. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 71 on July 13th, 1925 in Sharon, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.1 General Notes
