Charles William was born on September 17th, 1884 in Glendale, Hardin Co., Kentucky.1 Charles William's father was Robert H. (Doc) Basham and his mother was Sarah C. Powell. His paternal grandparents were Frederick Basham and Abigail NORTON. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Henry H., Junius F., John H., Grover F., Earnest D., Susan R. and Cora A.. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died about April 1975 in Berne, Adams Co., Indiana.1 General Notes
